For the Love of a Child, a London-based non-profit, invites the community to their 1st Annual Fall into Fall Festival on Saturday, October 21st, from 1-4 p.m. announced co-founder and CEO Joyce Graham-Smith.
The completely free festival will feature exciting children’s activities, including pony rides, a fire truck, hot dogs, games and a hay ride, as well as a dedication ceremony for the organization’s new warehouse.
“We welcome the community to our festival as we celebrate the season. This is a great opportunity for family fun and to learn about how For the Love of a Child helps people,” said Graham-Smith.
The festival will be held at Graham-Smith’s farm on 3671 Lily Road , which is about halfway between London and Corbin. For directions or details, call (606) 862-6154 or email fortheloveofachild2005@yahoo.com.
As a fundraiser, For the Love of a Child will raffle off a Case xx vintage trapper stag handle pocket knife. Tickets are just $1 and will be sold throughout the festival.
The festival will kick-off with the dedication at 1 p.m., which will feature a warehouse tour, a blessing by a local pastor, remarks from Graham-Smith, and expected attendance by local elected officials. The children’s activities will start at 1:30 and run until the raffle drawing and hay ride, which both will be at 3 p.m.
